Zoe and Patrick have been together for north of ten years. They got together in college at SUNY Purchase. Patrick, born and raised in the city, didn’t have to travel very far to learn the things he would go on to use to make this website while Zoe came all the way from Muncie, Indiana for that well-known dance conservatory. Neither would take a math class ever again.
Post-college they both moved to Brooklyn to pursue their artistic careers. After living in separate apartments, multiple neighborhoods and with many special roommates, they moved into their own apartment in 2017 – a sunny and bright, 400 sq foot, 5 floor walkup.
Zoe and Patrick got engaged on February 18, 2019. After finding a beautiful ring that came from the caves of Sri Lanka, Patrick asked Zoe to go for a walk through one of their favorite outdoor places, Prospect Park. They walked a favorite route of theirs, a spot hidden deep in the park by the lake. Patrick, who had been learning to speak Italian, asked Zoe “Vuoi sposarmi?”. After a few moments of necessary conversation, Zoe said YES. Zoe needed to brush up on her Italian as well considering, to her surprise, they were leaving for Italy the next day. Patrick secretly met with each of Zoe’s managers and choreographers to free her up, allowing them to spend a week in Naples. Being the land of their ancestors, it was a beautiful place to begin to understand what being married meant to them.
